One of Trail Appliances' greatest strengths is our ability to connect with the communities in which we operate and live. We do this in lots of ways, whether it's sponsorship of kids' sports teams or contributions to local charities. Since we're a locally-owned, family operated business, the owners and staff feel it's important and rewarding to be involved with our neighbours and support our community.
A selection of community charities and associations Trail Appliances supports:
Trail's participating again in GVHBA's annual Coats for Kids campaign to help give families in need a warmer and brighter Christmas.
Come into any of Trail's Lower Mainland stores from now until December 1, 2016 and donate your coats, scarves, blankets and other warm clothing in an assigned box, which will be given to thousands of children who need them to stay warm and healthy this year!
Trail Appliances is proud to support the Spinal Cord Injury BC this year.
In part of Trail's donation, Spinal Cord Injury BC was able to take 25 people living with spinal cord injury and 20 of their family and friends on an adaptive recreation adventure in Whistler.
Trail Appliances is proud to support the CKNW Orphans’ Fund again this year. Part proceeds from every customer purchase at all 8 Trail Appliances locations during our 42nd Anniversary Sale from October 14 - 23 2016
will benefit special needs children in BC.
Trail is pleased to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s annual Daffodil Ball as a Leading Sponsor. The funds donated will go directly to helping the Canadian Cancer Society fund life-saving research, lead prevention initiatives and deliver caring compassionate support and information to people affected by cancer. With more impact against more cancers than any other cancer charity, the Canadian Cancer Society is building a future founded on research that will change the way cancer is diagnosed and treated, and Trail is proud to support this worthy cause.
Every year, Flipside organizes The Great Sandwich Make, where an energetic and eager group of volunteers puts together and distributes homemade sandwiches and care packs to the Vancouver East Side.
Trail is a regular supporter of this great event, by providing the space in our Vancouver store to put together these packages, and being part of the creation process.
From November 13 to December 2, 2015, Trail Appliances participated in the Coats for Kids campaign by The Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association (GVHBA) in support of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and Surrey Christmas Bureau.
Donations were collected at our Richmond, Vancouver, Surrey, Coquitlam, and Langley stores. Thank you to those who brought in coats and jackets and contributed to this cause!

While most of our local giving is linked to the involvement of our key partner organizations, Trail Appliances finds additional ways to help strengthen community life.
