Overview
The Kinetico Chloramine Reducing Systems CR5 1060 Chloraban reduces chloramine (as monochloramine) to less than 0.5 mg/L when operated in accordance with the operating instructions. These systems are designed to operate in an up-flow mode. This configuration allows the unit to run in service without the need for a backwash cycle. Do not use water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
Concentration
Based on 3.0 + 10% mg/L influent challenge concentration and <0.5 mg/L maximum permissible water product concentration.
Reduce Capacity
Reduce capacity (life) by 50% to achieve <0.1 ppm outlet.
Total Organic Carbon
The presence of total organic carbon (TOC) and/or elevated chloramine concentration will shorten bed life.
Certification
The concentration of the indicated substances in water entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the permissible limit for water leaving the system, as specified in NSF/ANSI 42.
