Kai Leitner
Napoleon Backyard Sessions is hosted in collaboration with Kai Leitner, co-founder of The Butcher Langley, a butcher shop located in Willoughby, Langley, near our Cloverdale showroom. Specializing in local and sustainable cuts, whole animal butchery, custom cuts, and game processing, The Butcher brings a deep passion for quality ingredients and community-rooted food culture.
Kai’s philosophy around local sourcing and elevated craftsmanship naturally aligns with both Trail Appliances and Napoleon. Before butchery, he spent more than 10 years in Vancouver’s culinary scene, serving as Executive Chef at hotels and fine dining restaurants, and was even named runner-up for Best Chef in Vancouver. He brings a deeply authentic perspective to the project, combining professional culinary expertise with a strong connection to local farmers, sustainable meats, and approachable backyard cooking.
