Whether you collected your fridge from our warehouse, or our team delivered it, we’re glad your new fridge is already in its new forever home. We would be happy to recommend an expert that we trust, or you are welcome to arrange your own installer.
To prepare for the technician, you’ll need to:
Confirm with the installer if you have an existing fridge with a water line that needs disconnection.
This is important as the Trail delivery team are not able to help to disconnect a water line because of the risk of water leak. If you do not have a water line present where you are planning for your new fridge to go, you’ll need to arrange for a plumber to install the water line in advance.
If you haven’t moved your new fridge in place, you’ll need to before the installer arrives.
This is important as an installer can refuse to complete your installation of your fridge if the site isn’t ready for your new appliance.
Carefully review what tasks are excluded from this service.
You can review what tasks are excluded in the section below.
That’s no problem at all, we know things come up. Because your installation was booked with the third-party expert directly, please connect with them to reschedule.
When our installation partners arrive at your home, they inspect the site where your new fridge will be installed to determine it is ready. Sometimes, there might be additional work that needs to be done to make your home ready. If these situations arise, the installer will determine whether they can achieve the upgrades at the time, or whether they’ll need to make another time with you. This can be disappointing but we want to make sure you’re aware in advance so you can plan accordingly.
As a result, the following tasks are excluded from the installation cost:
- Installation of built-in or column fridges
- Any structural alterations or the removal of cabinetry to fit new appliance
- Removal and disposal of old unit and packaging are not included unless this service is bought separately
- Any adjustments to current electrical setup
- A shut-off valve for new refrigerator
