Voluntary Recall - LG Certain Electric Range Models
On February 21, 2025, LG issued a voluntary recall notice for certain electric range models. The recall is related to potential fire hazard due to the accidental activation of front-mounted control knobs. There have been no reports of serious injuries in Canada at this time.

Wolf Dual-Fuel Range Recall Notice
On November 7, 2024, Wolf Appliance, Inc. voluntarily initiated a recall of select Wolf Dual Fuel ranges with infrared griddles in cooperation with Health Canada. For a list of affected models. please visitConsumers should immediately stop using the recalled ranges and contact a Wolf Factory Certified Service professional or call or email the Wolf Hotline for a free in-home repair.

Voluntary Recall - Samsung Slide-in Electric Range Models
On August 29, 2024, Samsung voluntarily announced a recall to provide a corrective measure following reports of accidental activation of front-mounted range knobs on certain slide-in electric range models. Samsung voluntarily agreed to perform this recall, in cooperation with Health Canada. This decision addresses potential range knob activation through accidental contact by people or pets.

On February 8, 2024, Frigidaire announced a recall of certain refrigerator models due to a safety concern regarding the ice bucket assembly component. This issue could lead to plastic pieces entering the ice bucket, posing risks of choking and laceration. As of the announcement date, there have been no reported incidents in Canada, but in the United States, 343 reports of broken plastic with two resulting injuries have been received. Affected consumers are urged to visit this website for further information and to determine if their refrigerator is among those affected. On June 6, 2022, Electrolux announced a voluntary recall of icemakers in certain models of Frigidaire and Electrolux refrigerators. The reason for the recall is there is an issue with some icemakers’ level detector arm, which under certain circumstances, can potentially break into pieces and fall into the ice bucket, posing a choking hazard. As part of their commitment to product safety and to you, Electrolux is providing a free in-home installation of a new icemaker for affected models. On June 16, 2021 Cove Appliance, Inc., voluntarily initiated a safety recall of Cove 24” built-in dishwashers in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada. The Cove dishwashers affected by this safety recall were manufactured in the U.S. between December 4, 2018, to March 25, 2021, and were sold through Cove Appliance’s authorized distributor and dealer network in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The recall affects model numbers DW2450 and DW2450WS with serial numbers 20000100 through 20044445.

March 2, 2020 Health Canada has advised that Whirlpool Canada’s voluntary recall of its tap touch electric cooktops that started on Aug 28th 2019 is now complete. This recall affected all tap touch cooktops under the JennAir, Whirlpool and KitchenAid brands. If you still have questions about the affected models please call the hotline at 1-888-900-7897.
On August 28, 2019 Whirlpool Corporation, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Health Canada, PROFECO and other safety authorities, is conducting a voluntary recall of 24”, 30”, and 36” electric radiant cooktops that have touch controls with a glass cooktop surface and were sold under the KitchenAid, Whirlpool and JennAir brands.
